My work tends to focus on politics and race, and I attempt to distill relatively complex concepts down concise statements. I prefer to use ink and colored pencil on paper to produce blunt, unambiguous artwork that leaves little room for misinterpretation.
My inspiration comes from current events, t.v./social media, barbershop debates, experiences infiltrating mostly-white spaces, and my career as a mental health professional. I try to promote social justice through my work, and use humor to challenge old ways of thinking.
